In considering each of our community projects we discuss the environmental problem underlying the need for the project, and how it will contribute to better environmental and social outcomes. (see Our Projects section below)
Furthermore we seek to draw attention to the many resources that have been developed by others.
Participants in environmental care whose work we support include:
Planet Ark: “simple ways in which we can reduce our impact on the planet, at home, at work and in the community” https://planetark.org/
Clean Up Australia “To inspire and work with communities to clean up, fix up and conserve our environment” https://www.cleanup.org.au/
Redcycle: “a recovery initiative for post-consumer soft plastic” https://www.redcycle.net.au/
Bikes4Life: “alleviates poverty and social injustice in Australia and overseas by recycling and restoring discarded bikes. With the simple gift of a bicycle, families can enhance their standard of living dramatically, especially those in marginalised impoverished communities.” https://www.bikes4life.com.au/
Environmental Protection Authority (coordination of collection centres for recycling of household chemicals, paints, and more) https://www.epa.nsw.gov.au/your-environment/recycling-and-reuse/household-recycling-overview/
